Frank A. Catalanotto

Frank A. Catalanotto passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at the age of 70. Born on November 9, 1955, he was born and raised in Lakeview and was a longtime resident of Metairie.

Frank was the beloved husband of Susan Catalanotto. He is also survived by his niece, Tina Fontenot (Jason), and his two great-nieces, Grace and Stella Fontenot. He was preceded in death by his parents, Catherine and Joseph Catalanotto, and his two brothers, Salvadore Catalanotto and Carlo Catalanotto. Frank dedicated more than 40 years to the restaurant industry. He worked for many years as an executive chef at his uncle's restaurant, Tony Angello's, where he built a reputation for his talent and passion in the kitchen. Later, he fulfilled his dream of owning his own restaurant, Nephews, which he proudly operated until his retirement in 2024.

Outside of his career, Frank enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing and was an avid fan of LSU athletics.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Passages Hospice.

A Prayer Service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Dr., Metairie, LA 70001. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon. Interment will be private.
