Chichy, Frank J. Jr., 70, Cresson, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at home. Born April 30, 1954, Cleveland, OH, son of the late Frank J. Sr. and Lila L. (Chapman) Chichy. Frank is survived by his 3 children, Jenette Bruce, Lisa (Darin) Blunt, and Travis Chichy, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was also one of six siblings. Frank enlisted in the U.S. Navy right after graduating from high school. During his 20 years in the Navy, he proudly served as a Missile Technician and was promoted to the rank as a First Class Officer. After retiring from the Navy, a proud veteran, he then worked at Fry Metals in Altoona as a Machinist. Following retirement from Fry Metals, Frank enjoyed working outdoors, gardening, and woodworking. He also loved animals, especially his cat Katana. A graveside committal service will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at 11 a.m., Saint Francis Xavier Cemetery, Pastor Gary Shingler officiant. Military Honors will be provided by the Cresson American Legion, Sankertown VFW and other local military organizations. Arrangements have been entrusted to Anderson Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 233 Keystone Ave., Cresson, “Honored Provider of Veterans Funeral Care.” Condolences may be made at AndersonFamilyFuneralHomes.com
