Frank Hamilton Copeland

Frank Hamilton Copeland, age 74, of Palestine, Texas, passed away peacefully on the 6th day of March 2026, surrounded by his family. Frank was born on the 27th day of April 1951, in Palestine, Texas, to parents James Lee Copeland and Betty Ann Austin Copeland.
Frank's early years were marked by his dedication to serving others. He worked as a funeral director, an ambulance driver, and with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Later in life, Frank joined the team at Wal-Mart distribution, where he retired after 20 years.

He was an avid outdoorsman who cherished the time spent with his family at deer camp. Hunting and fishing were not just hobbies for Frank; they were passions that allowed him to connect with nature and share memorable experiences with his loved ones. His love for golf was equally evident, as he could often be found on the greens, enjoying the game and the company of friends and family. Frank always had something in the works, as he loved to keep his hands busy. His fun-loving spirit made him a joy to be around, and his ability to make people laugh was one of his most endearing qualities. Above all, Frank was a devoted father and husband who will be missed dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents James and Betty Copeland; son Adam Copeland; sisters, Sandra Copeland, and Judy Copeland.

Frank is survived by his wife of 53 years Kathy Copeland; daughter Mandy Goodwyn and husband Ben; brother, Steve Copeland; and grandchildren, Justin Goodwyn, Nathan Goodwyn, and Emma Copeland. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and a multitude of friends.

Funeral services to celebrate Frank Copeland's life are to be conducted at eleven o'clock in the morning on Wednesday, the 11th day of March 2026 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel with Josh Gafford officiating the service.

Graveside services will follow at three o'clock in the afternoon at Dew United Methodist Cemetery in Dew, Texas.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Steve Copeland, Josh Copeland, Michael Bollier, Ben Goodwyn, and Justin Goodwyn.
