Anna Jenkins Obituary
Anna Louise (McKinney) Jenkins 96, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 13, 2026. She was a good and faithful servant of her Savior Jesus for over 80 years. Accepting Jesus into her heart at the age of 13.
She was born on July 8, 1929 in South Houston, TX to Paul and Ethel (Pearson) McKinney. Anna graduated from Spur High School in 1947. She married the Love of her life Joe J. Jenkins on August 2, 1947 in Denison, TX. They were happily married for 62 years before Joe's passing on April 5, 2010.
Anna is survived by her sister, Carolyn Noles of Keller, TX; two sons, Paul "Butch" Jenkins and wife, Jana of Palestine, TX and Timothy Jenkins and wife, Linda of Strawn, TX; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Also a special son/cousin Terry McDonald. A special thanks to Candace Trimble a close friend and to Hospice Nurse and friend, Ora Lee Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Ethel McKinney; sister, Pauline Cubine; brother, Dr. Alfred McKinney; daughter-in-law, Brenda Jenkins; and great-granddaughter, Jaquelyn Jenkins.
Pallbearers are Jayson Jenkins, Joel Jenkins, Jonathan Jenkins, David Bates, Rick Holcomb and Cory McGee; Honorary Pallbearer Todd Noles.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church Strawn, TX with Michael Orsini officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Marion Cemetery in Strawn. There will be a time of visitation at 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home-Strawn.
