Frank Martin Crisp, 100, of Gastonia, passed away January 2, 2024, at Atrium Health Kings Mountain Hospital.
He was born December 31, 1923, in Clay County, NC, son of the late Orville Crisp and Candace Burchfield Crisp.
Frank was a member of Chapel Grove Baptist Church in Gastonia.
He was a WWII Marine Veteran who fought in the Pacific Theater, and he also served in the Navy after serving in the Marines.
He retired from Sears after 25 years of employment.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Monday, January 8, 2024, at Chapel Grove Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Roger Overton.
The family will receive friends 1-2 pm prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia, with military honors provided by United States Marine Corp and the Gaston County Honor Guard.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Shirley Beatty Crisp; sons, Randy Crisp (Carrie), Terry Crisp; granddaughters, Amanda Crisp, Samantha Crisp, Candace Crisp; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by six brothers, and five sisters.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Ronnie Suggs, Jackie Holland, Walter Mansfield and the caring members of Home Instead Healthcare.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Chapel Grove Baptist Church Building Fund 716 Camp Rotary Road Gastonia, NC 28052.
Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service located at 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia.

I´m so sorry to hear about Frank. He always made me laugh with his silly jokes and one liners... I still remember him joking about my toboggan. I wish the family would alll get together like we used to.
