Frank DeLuca Obituary

Frank DeLuca
Frank A. DeLuca, known by family and friends as Chuckie, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026. He was 88 years old, a lifelong Greenwich resident, born March 30, 1937, to the late Joseph DeLuca and Carmela (Petrone) DeLuca.
After building his business as a general contractor, he became a successful real estate developer, as well as a licensed real estate broker.
Frank loved spending time with family (especially around the holidays), good Italian food, driving through Tod's Point, bird watching on beautiful days, and life itself. He was a car enthusiast and also enjoyed watching older westerns. Frank had many close friends in town and enjoyed talking about sports, especially his beloved Mets and Giants.
Frank is survived by his wife of 62 years, the love of his life, Maryann (Lapegna) DeLuca; their three children, Joan DeLuca, Janet Lynn DeLuca, and Gary DeLuca; and his brother, Joseph (Butch) DeLuca. He was the proud grandfather of four grandchildren, Samantha Petrilli, Victoria Petrilli, Richard Petrilli and James Petrilli. Frank has a large, extended family and he leaves behind many nephews, nieces and cousins. He was predeceased by his two sisters, Marie Donella and Dolores Deck.
The DeLuca family is very grateful for all the love and support given to Frank over the years by too many people to mention. Thanks to all of you.
Burial will be private.

Chuckie was a great guy and a good friend.
He had a way of bringing people together.
Besides working on business projects with him, my fondest memory is our weekly McDonalds coffee huddle with Joey P, Gerald R, Charlie G, Peg Legs Chuckie and me. Those were the days.
Rest in peace my friend.

Chuckie sounds like somebody I wish I had been fortunate enough to know. I'm sure I would have enjoyed driving around Tod's Point and stopping to do some birding. I appreciate the family's using the name "Tod's Point," the preferred title for all of us old-timers!
He was born one day after my oldest sister, who passed in 2007.
May he Rest In Peace. Sincere condolences to his family.
