Frank LaVern Elliott of San Antonio, TX, age 66, went to be with the Lord on March 2nd after a lengthy illness with cancer. Frank is survived by his wife of 25 years, Colleen T. Elliott, and his brother, James O. Elliott (Lansing, MI). He is also survived by his dear cousins Robert L. Daymon and wife, Judy (Grand Ledge, MI), Debra Rust and husband, Bill(Bancroft, MI), and Rick Daymon (South Lyon, MI). Additionally, he is survived by his sister-in-law, Dianne Sibley(Dallas, TX) and by his niece, Brooke Allison Sibley (Dallas, TX), whom he also loved and adored. Frank was born in Lansing, MI, on January 14, 1947, and he was raised there. He served in the United States Marine Corp and the Marine Reserves from May of 1966 through May 1972. Frank was retired from the Lansing Police Department, where he graduated from the Michigan Law Enforcement Officers Academy in May of 1971. Although two serious duty injuries brought Frank to San Antonio by 1981, law enforcement was always his first passion. Frank was the Distribution Center Manager at Sauces Unlimited in San Antonio through 1997. Over the years, Frank was involved in Royal Ambassadors for Boys, served as an AWANA Commander for children at his church, and led in ministry to San Antonio's homeless community for several years. He also loved participating in music ministries in churches throughout much of his adult life. Frank was a member of the Vista Community Evangelical Free Church in San Antonio. He was a beloved husband and friend and will be dearly missed. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on March 9, 2013 at Northwest Community Church. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be presented to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
