Frank M. Enoki, 89, of Northlake, IL, passed away on May 21st, 2020.
Frank was born in Puyallup, WA to Tahei and Kimie Enoki. His family was relocated to the Minidoka Internment Camp during WWII. Two days after turning 20, he enlisted and proudly served in the US Army.
Frank was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Pauline; Danny Cipolla; his parents; two sisters, Mary and Alyce; and three brothers, George, Jim and Tom.
Frank is survived by his son Gary Enoki-Kawahara (Rebecca); his beautiful granddaughter Olivia Pauline; sister Marty (Kenji); nieces and nephews; extended family Anne Enoki, Angie and Tom Cipolla, Bonnie and Randy Davies, Gigi and Ian McPhee, Nancy and Ken Kawahara, Mike Kawahara, Sue Kawahara and their children and grandchildren.
Affectionately called Uncle Frank or Frankie, he spent his weekends camping with his family and friends. His great joy later in life were visits with his granddaughter Olivia. Strong willed and thoughtful, he also had a great, dry sense of humor. He is a huge part of so many memories for many people, and will forever be loved and missed.
His wishes will be honored by his son to place his ashes at the Idaho-Oregon Buddhist Temple.
In his honor, please have a beer and toast to Frank's life.
Memorial Gathering and Service will be held, Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Northlake Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until time of Remembrance Service at 4:30 p.m.
