Frank J. Erker, 93, formerly of Whiting, NJ and Queens, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 10, 2025 at The Residence at Summer Street in Stamford, CT where he lived for the past 3 ½ years.

Frank was born on December 16, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Frank and Josephine (née Fogarty) Erker. Frank attended St. Pancras School, Brooklyn Tech HS, and St. John’s University. He proudly served his country as a US Marine Corporal from 1952 to 1954.

Frank spent his entire career in various roles in the insurance industry. He enjoyed retirement, fishing, horse racing, and trips to Atlantic City, and was a founder of the resident-led poker club at The Residence. He was an avid NY Mets and NY Giants fan.

Frank was a skilled raconteur and joke teller and made friends wherever he went. He had a genuine gift for contentment and reveled in the happiness and accomplishments of his children and grandchildren. Frank frequently expressed his gratitude for the many blessings in his life, and was sustained by his strong faith.

Frank will be dearly missed by all who knew him, particularly his four children: Mary Lowe (Scott) of Stamford, CT; Frank Jr. (Beth) of Westbury, NY; John (Megan) of Chagrin Falls, OH; and Joseph of Tucson, AZ. He was a loving Gramps to Rebecca and David Lowe; Brian and Kristen Erker; Kyle, Ryan, and Matthew Erker; and Katie and Jake Evans. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Amy (née Craig) in 2007.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, January 19, 2025 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Lacerenza-Macari Family Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bridget of Ireland Church, 278 Strawberry Hill Avenue, Stamford, CT. A private burial will take place the following day.
