In Memory of: Frank Ray Foster

Frank Ray Foster, of Mantua, Ohio.

Born on December 27, 1939, passed away at his home on March 4, 2026.

Frank had two children with Carol Gruner, their daughter Carrie Foster married to Bob Jewell and son Matthew Foster. Frank was also a proud grandfather to John Paul Jones the father to great grandchildren Eden and Marlee and Jennifer Rivera's mother great grandson Sebastian Ray Foster.

On October 25, 1986 Frank was united in marriage to Rose Liebrecht.

A dedicated service member, Frank Foster served in the United States Air Force for three years, where he specialized in aircraft engine maintenance. Following his military service, he worked for Tilt Belt in California before transferring to Wapato, where Inland Fruit employed him. It was there that he met and married his beloved wife, Rose, with whom he shared 40 years of marriage. Frank retired from Inland Fruit at the age of 62.

He is preceded in death by his parents Carl and Dorothy Foster, brother, Robert Foster. He is survived by his remaining siblings: Allan Carl (Ace) Foster, and sisters Mary, Ellen (Susie), and Nora. As the youngest of three brothers and having three younger sisters, Frank held a special place in his family.

Frank's passions included reading, mushroom hunting, and photography. He also enjoyed woodworking, metal sculpting, leather working, and attending bluegrass festivals. In retirement, Frank and Rose cherished their time together traveling on steamboats and exploring new destinations. In his leisure, Frank found joy in creating puzzles for family members and tinkering with mechanical projects. He was also known for his long-standing commitment as a donor to the Red Cross.

Frank Ray Foster will be remembered for his dedication to family, his service to his country, and his many contributions to the lives of those around him. He will be deeply missed by many, including his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and even great-great-nieces and nephews, all of whom were touched by his kindness and warmth.

In lieu of flowers please donate to the Red Cross or for those who may wish to donate blood to your local American Red Cross in Franks name would be another way to honor him.

A special thank you to hospice for all their help during this period.
