Frank R. Frisz of Vincennes, Indiana, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on August 24, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on March 8, 1944, to Joseph and Dorothy (Suddeth) Frisz, Frank grew up in Vincennes and graduated from Lincoln High School. He married the love of his life, Diana Kempf, and together they shared 60 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and family. He worked for Knox County Arc for 20 years before retiring, dedicating himself to his work and his community.
Frank was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend. Much of his children’s early years were spent on the baseball field, where he coached with patience and pride. He didn’t just teach the game — he taught lessons about perseverance, giving your all, and the value of heart and effort. His guidance extended beyond sports, shaping the character of his children and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Known for his plainspoken wisdom, often delivered with humor and honesty, Frank taught those around him to choose their battles carefully and walk away from unnecessary trouble. His lessons, both spoken and demonstrated, left a lasting mark on his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Dorothy Frisz; son, Craig Frisz; and siblings Rosa Spalla, Joseph E. Frisz, Robert Frisz, and Richard Frisz.
Frank is survived by his wife, Diana Frisz; children, Troy Frisz and Angie (Bryan) Reed; sister, Suzanne Frisz; grandchildren, Madalyn Reed, Kirsten Reed, Abagil Reed, Amber Carie (and husband Clayton), and Weston Frisz (and wife Kate); and great-grandchildren, Chloe Parsley, Emily Carie, and Paxton Carie.
Frank was the rock of his family — steady, strong, and dependable. His legacy lives on in the laughter on the ball fields, in the lessons he shared, and in the countless lives he touched with his generosity, humor, and grit.
