Frank Hill, 77 of Cozad, NE passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. Frank was born on July 27, 1948 near Kilgore, NE to Grover and Cena Hill. Frank was the seventh of eight children. He had one sister and six brothers.

Frank attended a one room country school south of Kilgore, NE, kindergarten through eighth grade. One of those years his mother filled in as his teacher. He attended Kilgore High School through his junior year and then attended and graduated from Valentine High School his senior year.

Frank went on to a business school in Grand Island and graduated with a computer programming degree. He worked several different jobs in various cities and then went to Denver, CO to work for Western Electric as a programmer. There he met his wife Ginger Myers. They were married in 1973. They lived in Denver for a year and then purchased a dairy farm and moved to Park Rapids, MN. They lived in MN until 1979 when they purchased a ranch South of Kilgore, NE on the Niobrara River. They raised their four children on the ranch and then moved to Valentine where Frank built several homes and owned and managed rental properties. From there they moved north of Cozad, NE, one mile from his daughter and her family, where he built his final home.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Cena Hill and In-laws Dale and Wanda Myers, son Troy Hill, brother Don Hill, brother Jerry Hill and sister-in-law Debbie Hill, and brother-in-law George Kitzberger.

Frank is survived by his wife Ginger, son Corey (Audra) Hill of Park Rapids, MN, son Ty Hill of Cozad, NE, and daughter Taunya (Jay) Hill Chytka of Cozad, NE. Grandchildren, Danielle, husband Cody and great granddaughter Lucy, Paige and husband Andrew, Payton, Tristan and wife Sydney, Eli, Tayler, Cash, Cord, Taryn, Coy, Mattie and great granddaughter Lily. Sister Pauline Kitzberger of Cleveland, OH, brother Lawrence (Barb) Hill of Alliance, NE, brother Doug (Linda) Hill of Douglas, WY, sister-in-law Yvonne Hill of Scottsbluff, NE, and many loved nieces and nephews.

Frank was a jack of all trades. He was a computer programmer, banker, rancher, and carpenter. He was self-employed most of his life and passed on an amazing work ethic and sense of independence to his children. He was a wonderful husband and father and a source of strength for those close to him. He dearly loved his family and grandchildren and would always light up when they were around. He loved playing cards, spending time with family, ice fishing, all sports, and gardening. He was always busy doing something. A man of many talents, he could build or fix anything, with his homemade hardware store. He loved working with his hands and when he could no longer work on the bigger projects, started doing more woodworking. He made beautiful tables, clocks and cribbage boards out of cedar off the Niobrara River. For all that new Frank they knew a hardworking, honest, loyal man. He will be greatly missed.

Online condolences may be shared at berrymanfuneralhome.com. Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation. Frank's wishes were to be cremated. A family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
