Frank Keyser Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc. - Middletown from Jan. 12 to Jan. 23, 2026.
Frank Keyser passed away on January 11, 2026 surrounded by his family. He was 65 years old.

Born on September 29th, 1960, in Middletown, NY, Frank shared 39 years of marriage with his loving wife, Louise. Together, they raised their son, Austin, who Frank was very proud of. Whether at home or on the sidelines of a sporting event, Frank rarely missed the opportunity to support Austin and considered it one of his greatest joys.

Frank also dedicated 34 years to the New York State Police, spending most of his service with Troop F and retiring with the rank of Major. During his career, he was assigned to the World Trade Center site following September 11, 2001, an experience that remained with him throughout his service.

Most recently, Frank enjoyed retirement with Louise in sunny Myrtle Beach, SC, keeping active and spending time with their golden retriever, Gracie.

Always on the move, Frank was an avid cyclist and recently found a new appreciation for golf. He was well known for his clever sense of humor and will be deeply missed by those who loved him.

Frank was predeceased by his mother Grace Rosado; brother Henry Keyser; father-in-law John Cavalluzzi; mother-in-law Vera Cavalluzzi; brother-in-law Scott Barker; and nephew Hankie.

He is survived by his wife Louise Keyser; son Austin (Alexa) Keyser; George Rosado; sisters Ann (Ron) Andryshak, Rita Keyser, Carol Simms, and Maryann (Tom) Melville; sister-in-law Danita; brothers George (Carol) Rosado, Lance Rosado, and Dwayne Rosado; sisters-in-law Mary Ann Barker, Jane (George) Muller, and Jennifer (Tony) Tranchina; brother-in-law John (Kate) Cavalluzzi; and many nieces, nephews, and friends who will remember him with love.

There will be no viewing. A prayer service will be held at 11am on Friday, 1/30/26 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY.

The family requested in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Police Benevolent Association of the New York State Troopers, 120 State St, Albany, NY 12207 or Restoration Church PO Box 598, Monticello, NY 12701
