Frank W. Kubicek

1937 - 2025

Frank W. Kubicek, 88, of Youngwood, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2025. He was born on Sept. 9, 1937, in Greensburg, the son of the late Frank and Vivian (Shetler) Kubicek. Frank was proud to serve his country in the National Guard for four years. Prior to retirement, Frank worked as a coal miner for many years. His last job was at the Daisytown Mine. He enjoyed listening to the old traditional country music and traditional gospel music on Sundays. His favorite instrument was the steel guitar. He was also a life member of the A&B Club in Youngwood. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his loving wife, Delores E. (Andrews) Kubicek; his brother, Robert Kubicek; his grandson; and his great-grandchild. He is survived by his children, Carol Riddle (Terrence) of Hunker, Donna Fox of Youngwood, James Kubicek (Tammy) of Youngwood, Paul Kubicek (Chris) of Greensburg, David Kubicek (Audra) of Ruffs Dale, John Kubicek (Joy) of Arona, and Susan Luce (David) of Darragh; his 12 grandchildren; and his eight great-grandchildren. Frank is also survived by his brother, Edward Kubicek (Rita) of Latrobe. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9, in C. RICHARD MCCAULEY FUNERAL HOME INC., 101 S. Fourth Street, Youngwood. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 10, in the funeral home.
