Frank A. Lindval, Jr., died early Tuesday, August 19, 2025, in Purmela. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 30, at Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville with Pastor Max Gunn officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen- Bundrant Cemetery.
Frank was born on June 30, 1948, in Chardon, Ohio. His family moved to Florida one bitter winter. Frank was drafted into the military and served in the United States Army as a communications technician in Vietnam. He eventually served as a legal technician, retiring from the military after 20 years of service, serving in Vietnam, Germany, the United States and four back-to-back years in Korea.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Copperas Cove and when moving to Purmela attended Boots and Saddles Cowboy church.
He is preceded in death by his father, Frank; mother, Wanda; and step-daughter, Margie.
Frank is survived by his wife, Rena; daughter, Tonya and husband, Bryan; brothers, Robert and Johnny; sister, Cindi; sister-in-law, Donna; stepchildren, Joseph, and Christa; grandchildren, Kylia, Kyle and Korey, and Kaylee; step-grandchildren, Joseph, Maggie, Makayla, and Mikayla; great grandchildren, Riley, Kiley, Link, Silas, Kayla, Kinsley, Shayla, Aries, and Mars; and nieces and nephews, David, Casey, Terrell, Shannon, Luke and Lyndsey.
