Frank Loughrey lived life to the fullest for 78 years until August 5th, 2025. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen, of 56 years, son Brian, daughter Tiffany, son-in-law Joe, loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters Ivana, Nancy, and Kat, along with their families in California. He will be reunited in heaven with sons Frankie and Kristian. The people whose lives Frank touched are too numerous to mention.
Frank served his country in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He served his family and friends as well as those who needed his help.
He devoted his career to telephone and computer installation with ATT and their subsidiaries for 32 years. After retirement, Frank owned and operated Communications Plus, training his children and grandchildren using his knowledge. They have carried on his legacy.
After relocating to Port Charlotte, Florida in 2015, Frank, along with his wife, Kathy, and dog Bambi, traveled over 42,000 miles across the country in their RV.
Frank will be missed by all, but the mark he left on our hearts and our love for him will live on forever.
The funeral for Frank will be held at the Sarasota National Cemetery located at 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota, Florida 34241. The family welcomes anyone who wishes to visit after the funeral to our home located at 1226 Tift Street, Port Charlotte, FL.
In lieu of flowers it was Frank’s wish that a tree is planted in his memory in one of the Florida State Parks, which were his favorite camping destinations. The link is attached.
