Frank Mack Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Freeman Funeral Homes - Manalapan from Jan. 24 to Jan. 25, 2026.
Francis X. ("Frank") Mack, 99, of Morganville, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Hackensack Meridian Old Bridge Medical Center surrounded by his loved ones. Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Frank made Morganville his home for more than five decades. Frank honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. Following his military service, he built a long and respected career in trucking logistics and distribution, including serving as Executive Director for the New Jersey Motor Truck Association. He later retired after a long tenure with J.M. Huber Corporation.

A lifelong Catholic, Frank devoted much of his time to helping others. He volunteered with the Morganville First Aid Squad and dedicated his time to many charitable efforts. He was the founder of The Clement House, an organization that assists the homeless and of HUNT, a group that assists the unemployed. He also served a number of different charities in other capacities, including serving as a President of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, and as a member of the Board of the Samaritan Center for over 30 years. Aside from his charitable activities, he also enjoyed several creative endeavors, including photography and poetry writing.

Frank was predeceased by his wife of 75 years, Rose Marie Mack, and his daughter, Kathleen. He is survived by his children Victoria, Maureen, Karen (Bob) Dina (Rob) and Tim. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren – Michael, Andy, Katie, Maureen, Megan, Ryan, Christopher and Madeline; four great-grandchildren – Michael, Bobby, Thomas and Ava; and one great-great-grandchild – Maya.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Wednesday, January 28th, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North. A funeral liturgy will be held at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church on Thursday at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Gabriel's Cemetery and Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to The Clement House in Matawan, NJ. To leave a condolence or find directions, visit www.freemanfuneralhomes.com.
