Frank Marini, 79, passed away peacefully on March 7th 2026, at St. Vincent’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Frank was born on June 6, 1946, in Torrice, Italy to Sante and Verlanda Marini. In 1956, he immigrated to the United States with his family, settling in Norwalk, Connecticut. It was there that he grew up, attended school, met the love of his life, and went on to build a beautiful family of his own. He became a master mason by trade and took pride in his work. Living in America, Frank kept his Italian heritage close to his heart through food, language and family.
Golf was one of Frank’s greatest passions. Many of his days were spent on the course with family and friends. When he wasn’t on the golf course, Frank could often be found at home next to his beloved wife, cooking Italian meals and bringing his loved ones together. His greatest joy was being a grandfather.
Frank is survived by his wife of 58 years, Diana Marini; his daughter, Denise Singewald (Sheldon), and his son, Frankie Marini. He was a proud grandfather to Olivia Singewald, Deanna Singewald, Reid Singewald (Jordan), William Singewald, Christian Marini, and Briana Marini. He is also survived by his siblings Mafalda Marini (Lino), Alex Marini (Kathy), and Luigina Montoni; brothers-in-law David English,Robert Cox (Linda); and sister-in-law Marie Marini.
Frank leaves behind an abundance of nieces, nephews and cousins, who hold him near and dear to their hearts. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his sisters Gina Palmieri and Maria English; brother Philip Marini; brothers-in-law Dino Palmieri and Luigi Montoni; and niece Carol Chacon.
Visitation will be held on March 11, 2026 from 8:30am- 10:30am at Raymond Funeral Home: 5 East Wall St., Norwalk, CT. The funeral service will follow at 11:00am at St. Philips Church: 1 Father Conlon Place, Norwalk, CT.
