Frank (Frankie) J. Menchaca passed suddenly on November 25, 2025. He was born on June 15, 1974, and grew up in Chicago, a city that shaped his character, strength, and lifelong connections.
Frank was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Yolanda Toribio and Frank Menchaca. He carried their love with him throughout his life and honored them through his dedication to his family.
He is survived by his loving sister, Dana (Darryl) Dunn, and loving partner Alfonso Urquidi. Frank was a devoted and proud uncle to Devin, Vincent, and Madison, who brought him great joy and pride.
Frank was many things to many people — a brother, son, nephew, cousin, and a true friend. He had a rare gift for forming deep, lasting friendships and was known for his loyalty, generosity, and big heart. In life, Frank was a hard worker who valued honesty and connection, and his circle of friends was a testament to the kind of person he was. He will be remembered for his warmth, his laughter, and the genuine care he showed to everyone he knew.
Frank’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him, and he will be deeply missed.
Mass will be held on January 17th at noon at St. Procopius.
