Survived by first wife Norinne, daughter Sue, son Mike, grandchildren Behnjamin (Corisa), Nick, Nickole, Megan, great-grandson Mason and step-children Ron, Bonnie, Barbie and their spouses, children and grandchildren. He also leaves behind his good friend Ester.
Born April 29, 1937 in Slayton, Mn to Frank Rudolph Mensen and Josephine (Stahl) Mensen. He grew up on farms near Balaton and Heron Lake Mn. After high school enlisting in the U.S. Army- Fort Knox, KY. He later trained at the Engineer School, Belvoir, Virginia, receiving further mechanics training in Maryland. In 1964 he was honorably discharged.
Frank was a man who had many varied interests. Throughout his life he enjoyed polka music and played the trombone in the high school band. He later taught himself to play the harmonica and the accordian. He enjoyed watching football and was a member of the Knights of Columbus since 1964. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, farming, snowmobiling and wood working. He and Connie loved their many trips in their motorhome. Frank also had a great interest in genealogy and was excellent with technology; even recently teaching his children and others how to set up and use computers, printers and cell phones. He loved surprising his family and friends with gifts, both small and large. Most notably he was proud of his family; loving them unconditionally. He will be truly missed.
