It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Frank Max Payment of Texas Corners, MI in the early hours of October 8, 2024, at the age of 75.
Frank was born June 16, 1949, in Monroe, Michigan to Edith and Arley Payment. He was united in marriage to Dawn Marie Payment (Trowbridge) on November 8, 1969. Frank took great pride in his children and grandchildren and loved spending as much time as possible with them. When he wasn’t chasing his grandkids around, he enjoyed sailing with his brother, Mike, any chance he got and traveling around the country with his wife.
Frank started assisting his dad at work for PJ Cunningham, watching and learning how to install HVAC equipment. His Dad, Arley, instilled in Frank a tremendous work ethic. He worked for UA Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 671 for much of his life, retiring after more than 50 years in 2019.
Frank is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Dawn Payment; son, Bradly (Alison) Payment; daughters, Rebecca (Christopher) McGee and Brooke (Adam) Hasemeyer; grandchildren: Aubrey Payment, Ethan Payment, Zachary Payment, Alexander Payment, Eden McGee, Elina McGee, Eliam McGee, Elizah Hasemeyer, Isaac Hasemeyer, and Isabelle Hasemeyer; brothers: Michael (Darla) Payment, Jim (Sue) Payment, Jerry (Joan) Payment, Glenn (Kathy) Payment, David (Melanie) Payment; and sister, Grace (Pete) Zerillo. He also leaves behind a great many additional family and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edith and Arley, and his parents-in-law, William and Della Trowbridge.
Visitation will be Tuesday October 15, 2024, from 2:00-3:00 PM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial and Cremation Services, 3926 S 9th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009. Burial will immediately follow at Hope Cemetery in Texas Corners.
