Frank Pizzola, 77, of Beacon Falls, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2024. Frank's heartbroken family includes his wife of 55 years Lorena Taddei Pizzola; children Walter (Kelli Lowenadler) Pizzola and Sabrina (Salvatore Jr.) Coppola, his adored grandchildren Francesco, Justin, Alessandra, Alessia and Emilia. He is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law Carlo (Elenora) Taddei, Nemesio (Graziella) Taddei, Maria Taddei and Lilia Pizzola and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Tony Pizzola and brother-in-law Emiliano Taddei.
Frank was born in Roccacassale Abruzzo, Italy to parents Angelo and Violanda Pizzola. He immigrated to Montreal Canada in 1968 and went on to marry the love of his life in 1969, eventually moving to the United States in 1972. The owner of F & L Ironworks, Frank led the company for 40 years specializing in structural and ornamental steel work until his retirement in 2023. When not at work, Frank enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, traveling to their vacation home in Cape Coral Florida, collecting and maintaining European sports cars and spending time with his family and friends. His most precious time was spent with his grandchildren.
Visitation will take place at the West Haven Funeral Home on Friday January 3rd from 9:30 to 11:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Woodbridge at 12:30. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Smilow Cancer Center.
