Frank Ramos Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Colonial Funeral Home - Dimmitt on Apr. 27, 2024.
On the morning of April 19th Frank Ramos went to be with the Lord. Frank was born in Friona Tx. on January 1st, 1957, to Rosendo Ramos and Ostolia Sanchez.
Frank was a resident of Dimmitt for 50 years of his life. he worked at Dimmitt Printing for 40 years despite being fired at least 4 times; he became a beloved part of the shop. He met his wife Tina Sullivan at Allsups at the age of 27 buying mints almost every day in pursuit of Tinas 19-year-old heart.
Together they have 3 children Tabitha, Natacia and Blake of Dimmitt, although biologically his niece beloved as a daughter Maria Phelps (Chuvalita) is included among the siblings.
On August 18th 2003 Frank surrendered his life to the Lord Jesus Christ. He loved the Lord with passion and faith, pursuing the heart of Jesus daily was his desire, sharing the transformative power of Jesus with many was his legacy. He was a drummer and loved his music, so much so he played the drums in the car using straws as his drum sticks. His time on the praise and worship team as a drummer with Pastor Abel Vargas were some of his most cherished moments. He was a minister of God's word at the Dimmitt County jailhouse every Sunday for 18 years, sharing the love of God and encouragement he had for his guys/gals as he would say was something he would look forward to every Sunday. Everyone who knew my dad encountered the Love and Grace Of Jesus Christ, he loved all and they loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Tina Sullivan-Ramos, his 3 angels Tabitha, Natacia, and Blake; siblings – Martina Lopez, Jesse Ramos and Billy Ray Ramos. Various extended family and all those he led to Christ
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. The Ramos family will receive friends and family from 1-2:00 P.M. at the Abundant Life Family Church of Dimmitt. Funeral and Cremation Services have been entrusted to Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.
