Glendora Pearl Clark of Schertz, Texas, often said she wanted to live to one hundred. Despite her best efforts, the Lord called her home on February 4, 2026, at 92.

She was born June 16, 1933, to Walter L Canfield and Earcie R Crites in Sutton, West Virginia. A child of the Great Depression, and fifth of seven children, Glendora grew up strong out of necessity. Nature made her stubborn, and her faith filled her with love. She was knowledgeable, an avid reader and history buff, with a penchant for collecting antique trinkets, such as dolls, depression glass, and salt shakes—all which added a little more color to her world (often pink). Her sense of humor and playful demeanor was unmatched.

She married Robert “Bob” Oley Clark on December 18, 1953, in Lewisburg, West Virginia. Their forty-three years together was blessed with eight children. A devoted mother and homemaker, that legacy has only grown, with twenty-one grandsons, eight granddaughters, and an innumerable number of great and great-great grandchildren.

Glendora is survived by her brother, Harry “Bill” (Twila) Canfield of Cedarville, WV; her children, Bonita “Bink” Sparkman of Marbury, AL; Clinton “Buddy” Clark of Hacker Valley, WV; Charles “Chuck” Clark I of Slaton, TX; Robert “Rusty” Clark of Dimmitt, TX; Beverly (James) Rouse of Schertz, TX; Roger (Diane) Clark of West Green, GA; Regina “Gina” (Scott) Alexander of Wilson, OK; and Robert “Bobby” (Maria) Coger of Fort Wayne, IN.

Those waiting to welcome Glendora home, along with her parents and beloved husband Bob, include her son-in-law James “Jim” Sparkman; grandson James “Jimmy” Sparkman; and her siblings Gussie Coffman, Edward “Bud” Canfield, Charles “Bob” Canfield; Ruby Hastings, and Clara Jane “Notchie” Vest.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 am, Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel in Lubbock with services starting at 10:00 am. Burial will be private at Westlawn Cemetery in Dimmitt.
