Katherine Jean Lasater, 56. of Ponca City, Oklahoma, and formerly of Lubbock, Texas, passed away on February 7, 2026, in Ponca City, Oklahoma. She was born on August 11, 1969, in Lubbock, Texas, to Earl Lee Lasater and Wanda Lauver Williams. Her passion for photography became her profession.
Visitation for Katherine will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, from 11 AM to 8 PM at the Trout Funeral Home and Crematory, 505 W. Grand, Ponca City, Oklahoma 74601. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at the Ponca City Assembly Church, 2313 E. Prospect Avenue, Ponca City, Oklahoma 79604, under the direction of Trout Funeral Home and Crematory.
Following services in Ponca City, she will be flown to Lubbock, Texas for final services.
Katherine is surived by her partner, Mark Bernard of Ponca City, Oklahoma; sons: Steven Vennum of New Mexico, Curtis Speede of Ponca City, Oklahoma, William Speede of Connecticut, Richard Martinez of Lubbock; daughters: Gloria Martinez of Lubbock, Angelica Castillo and Selena Mireles, both of Ponca City, Oklahoma.
Services in Lubbock will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, in the Combest Family Funeral Home Chapel, 2210 Broadway. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until service time. Burial will follow in the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Home.
