Frank H Romatowski

Frank H. Romatowski, age 93 passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born in South River, he was a lifelong borough resident. Before his retirement, Frank worked as a tablet weigher with Bristol Myers Squibb in New Brunswick for 25 years. He was a proud US Navy veteran of the Korean War, where he served on the USS Wisconsin. He was a member of the South River American Legion Post 214, the VFW Post 1451 and a former Democratic Committeeman in South River. Frank loved tending to his garden and his tomatoes were legendary. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially taking cruises together. Frank was a communicant of St. Mary of Ostrabrama RC Church in South River.

He is predeceased by his parents Frank and Julia, and his sisters Jennie Furslew, Wanda Bailey and Florence Romatowski.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 68 years, the former Joan Nowak, his loving children Gregory Romatowski, and Karen Suleski and her husband Jason, his cherished grandchildren Nicholas Romatowski and his wife Jenna, Daniel Romatowski, Emma, Ethan and Adam Suleski, his siblings Lorraine Pickus, Joan Haffly, Stanley Romatowski and Henry Romatowski and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

Calling hours at the Maliszewski Funeral Home 218 Whitehead Ave. South River will be Sunday from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.

Funeral services will be Monday 9:30am from the funeral home with a 10:00am Mass at St. Mary of Ostrabrama RC Church. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in East Brunswick.
