Frank Rucci

Frank Rucci, age 95, of Readington Twp., NJ, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Twp., NJ.

Frank was born on September 9, 1930, in Jersey City, NJ, to the late Luigi and Antonia (Milone) Rucci. He spent his childhood in Jersey City and moved to Piscataway after getting married and finally settled in Readington Twp., NJ in 1976, where he has resided since.

Frank was the beloved husband of the late Dolores Laucik Rucci, who passed away in 2023 after 61 years of marriage.

Frank served in the US Army during the Korean War and would later work as a mechanic before becoming a professional fireman for Jersey City, NJ. He was a longtime member of the NJ Firemen's Association.

Frank enjoyed fixing cars, fishing, and he loved spending time at his home.

Frank is survived by his loving children: Frank Rucci Jr. of Whitehouse Station, NJ; Stephen Rucci and his wife, Diana, of Pittstown, NJ; and Michael Rucci of Wellington, FL. His grandchildren: Trevor Rucci; Tanner Rucci and his wife, Alexa; and Emilie Rucci as well as two great-grandchildren. His one sister: Jean Murphy of Dallas, TX. He is also survived by many of his nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, Frank is predeceased by his three brothers: Michael Rucci, Jack Rucci, and Nick Rucci. He is also predeceased by his three sisters: Ann Perry, Mary Perry and Rose Mary Way-Shiell.

Calling hours will take place on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 from 7-9pm at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main St., Lebanon, NJ. Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at 9am at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home followed by interment at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA.
