Frank "Sam" Steadings Obituary
Frank “Sam” Samuel Steadings, 66, of Spartanburg, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025.
Born in Goldsboro, North Carolina, Sam was the son of the late Norman Dean Steadings and the late Bertha Zepmeisel Steadings. A retired mechanic, he took great pride in every automobile he worked on. Sam was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Susan Hayes Steadings; two children, Tina Poteat and Dennis Lovingood Jr.; four grandchildren, Krista Cappella, Kayla Lovingood, Alexis Branham, and Kelsey Hyder; and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers, Johnny Steadings, Tim Steadings, and Danny Steadings; and one sister, Pat Washburn.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM to 2:15 PM on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Floyd’s Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Highway 9, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. A funeral service to honor Sam’s life will follow at 2:30 PM, with Pastor Kenneth Cash officiating. Burial will take place afterward at Fort Prince Memorial Gardens.
Sam will live on in the hearts of his family and friends for years to come.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Floyd’s Mortuary.
