I don´t know where to start. I´ve written this in my head over and over but find myself speechless.
Frank was my step dad, my friend. I loved being around him. I have so many memories.
His love for music introduced me to Dave Matthews band, the Cranberries, Sarah McLaughlin, Tori Amos, Enya, Neil Young, and so much more. Thursdays were pizza night. Fridays were John Harvard´s. Saturdays left overs and popcorn at night. Sundays he´d prep his weekly lunches and get ready for a fresh week. My mom and him loved bike riding. I loved going with them on the weekends with my husband. Frank got into craft beer and that carried over to me. He´d brew fantastic beer and share it with friends and family. He´d even keep a log of how much we´d pour and since I´m horrible at numbers I´d write any old thing. His cousin would visit from Canada often and we´d have a great time sitting in the back laughing.
When I got married Dom and I got our dog Bella. My mom and Frank just adored her and she adored them. She´d run into their house ready for her walk with Frank. When I became a mother he clung onto Orlando. Spoiling him and loving him. They were two peas in a pod. Monthly visits to Toy R Us. Sitting in the basement eating chips and pretzels and playing. Orlando adored his pap. Alora was born 5 years later and he clung to her too. She´d also sit in the basement, play on his computer and steal gum! We had many family vacations. We´d bike ride then head to the beach where he´d make Orlando laugh uncontrollably in the ocean. These memories play over and over again in my head.
Most of all he loved my mom. They had a great relationship. When his disease took over him she stayed with him. She did everything in her power to keep him home and safe. The last 13 months my mom was with Frank hours on end everyday. Bringing him goodies. Talking to him and comforting him. My sister went every Saturday and cleaned and I went as often as I could.
Frank was a big part of my life. He respected me and kept me safe. My sweet Bella passed last March. I never told him, afraid it´d break his heart. Saying goodbye to him was the hardest thing I´d ever done. I bet Bella was waiting for him to go on that long walk. I could write a book but I´ll end it here. At the end of it all, I loved him so much. My heart breaks knowing he´s gone but I´m blessed to have so many fond memories with him. Frank, I miss you and will see you on the other side one day. Thank you for your love. I love you.

He was always ready to greet you with that big smile and warm conversation. Many many years ago my husband and many others from Swissvale formed softball leagues each year, and went to almost every Pitt game. Miss you and your brother very much.
