Frank Allan Shultis

Frank A. Shultis, 88, of Scottsdale AZ formerly from Denver, CO and Waukesha, WI found eternal peace April 25th. Survived by his loving wife of 67 years Joan C. Shultis (nee Van Kylen). Further survived by sister-in-law Pat (Meyer), nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends. Frank is reunited in death with loved ones preceding him including sister Peg and brothers-in-law Don Badinger and Ron Meyer.
Born in Waukesha, WI farm country, Frank always considered himself a farm boy at heart and used his fascination with farm equipment to launch a successful career first as a manufacturer's rep and business owner in Denver, CO and later as the owner of a construction and industrial equipment rental company in Chandler, AZ.
In the early 1960's, Frank left Wisconsin for a career opportunity in Denver working as a manufacturer's rep and later establishing Shultis Sales Agency in 1967. Frank sold the agency in 1983 when he and Joan moved to Scottsdale to embark on ownership of Valley Equipment Rentals in Chandler. Frank sold the rental business when he retired in 1992. Spending his remaining years in Scottsdale, Frank was heavily involved in the Rotary Club mission to supply books and support to school children in Mexico. Frank and Joan were also lifelong sponsors of disadvantaged children all around the world.
A disciplined walker, Frank enjoyed making many friends both human and canine on his daily turnabout, always clad in his signature cap and sweater and with a hearty handshake and hello. He will be remembered dearly for his meticulous appearance, pride in his automobiles, and the uncanny ability to make people feel valued and appreciated. He was always genuinely happy to see you.
The family is grateful for the exceptional care from the staff at Acoya Shea, Savior Hospice and Greenstaff Homecare in his final weeks. There will be a private memorial graveside service for family at the Paradise Memorial Gardens, Scottsdale, AZ.
