Frank J. Stefanick, age 81, of Bluffton, South Carolina, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on January 2, 2026.
Born on October 20th, 1944 in Butler Township, PA, Frank grew up hunting, fishing and enjoying the outdoors. He graduated from Muhlenberg College in 1966 before joining the Exxon Corporation, where he devoted his career for 33 years before he retired in 1999. Frank and his wife, Anna Marie, of Tamaqua, PA, spent their retirement years in the active retirement community of Sun City, in South Carolina.
There Frank became skilled at wood working and was a member of the Sun City Wood Workers Club and became an instructor. He was also active with the Stain Glass Club, the Corvette Club, and various card clubs.
Above all, Frank was a family man, which shaped every aspect of his life. Frank is survived by his devoted wife, Anna Marie (Ripko) Stefanick, who stood by his side for 58 years; his son, Frank, two grandchildren, Garrett and Abby, his daughter Jodi Ann, and his sister, Cheryl Walters. He also leaves behind many friends and neighbors who were touched by his famous sense of humor and wit. He never knew a stranger and often made those around him smile. He was preceded in death by his loving parents Frank Jerome and Anne Stefanick of Nesquehoning, PA.
May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him. Frank will be remembered as being generous in spirit and committed in purpose. He was also known for his love of sarcasm. His legacy lives on through the lives he enriched with his kindness, creativity, and unwavering support.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, January 16, 2026 at Saint Gregory the Great, 31 St. Gregory Drive, Bluffton, SC, where Frank was an usher. It will be followed by a hospitality gathering at St. Gregory Parish Life Center. Burial services will be held at a later date in Frank’s hometown of Nesquehoning, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family invites memorial contributions to Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 31 St. Gregory Dr., Bluffton, SC 29909.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church.
