Frank J. Wasilko

Frank J. Wasilko, 92, of Bethel, passed away on June 5, 2023 at the Willow Brook Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Kutztown. Born in Mocanaqua PA on September, 27, 1930, he was the son of the late Matthew A. and Rose E. (Vavrasek) Wasilko. He married Roxann Y. McKinney on October 31, 1959. She preceded him in death in 2004. Frank is survived by his son; John and his wife Jennifer and was predeceased by his eldest son, Jody on June 5, 2023; a grandson Matthew; a sister, Rosemary Pinca of Philadelphia. He was predeceased by a brother Steven and a twin brother Gerald. He was a 1949 graduate of Shickshinny High School. Frank served our nation proudly and valiantly in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. Frank was employed as a PA State Police Trooper for 33 years serving at the Schuylkill Haven, Hamburg and Reading Barracks Troop L, before retiring in 1990. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday June 14, 2023, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 94 Walnut Rd, Hamburg, PA 19526. A viewing will be Tuesday, June 13, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 40 South 4th St., Hamburg and Wednesday June 14, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
