Frank Robert Welfel

Welfel, Frank Robert, age 69, of Fair Lawn, on Monday, April 14, 2025. Born in Hackensack, Frank was raised in Paramus and Ridgefield Park and had lived in Bogota before moving to Fair Lawn, where he resided for 42 years. He was a U.S. Postal Worker, operating mainly from the Englewood, Hackensack and Teterboro branches. A parishioner of St. Anthony R.C. Church in Hawthorne, Frank was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed trips to the casino and was a passionate traveler.
For 41 years, Frank was the beloved husband of Joyce Welfel (nee: Corwith). Loving father of Jeffrey Welfel of Dumont and Renee Bailey and her husband Sean of Waldwick. Dear grandfather of Sophia Bailey. Dearest brother of June Shuler and her husband Kurt of Davis, CA. Frank is also survived by many loving cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 4:30pm on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Ave., Hawthorne, NJ 07506. Friends may visit prior to the service on Tuesday from 3:00pm-4:30pm. Cremation will be private.
