Harry Parker Obituary
Born in Harrisburg, PA, Harry resided in Ridgewood for 64 years. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1954 to 1957. He was the owner of Custom Designers, specializing in canvas work. When he wasn't at work, he enjoyed deep sea fishing in Florida, going to the casino in Yonkers with his wife Katherine, and especially cheering on his grandchildren at their tournaments and competitions. He was an active sponsor with AA for 47 years and helped many people in all stages of recovery.
Harry was the beloved husband of the late Katherine Ann (nee Tielemans) Parker. Loving father of Kathleen Peacock and her husband Robert of Ridgewood, Harry Parker and his wife Jami of Midland Park, and Kristy Hillmer and her husband Ralph of Midland Park. Dear grandfather of Allison Baker and John, Brian Peacock and Kristine, Megan Mullin and Pat, Jessica DaSilva and David, Danielle Parker, Amanda Parker-Siebel and Taylor, Harry Parker IV, Mary Katherine Hillmer, and Grace Hillmer. Dearest great-grandfather of Landon, Hannah, Emma, Joseph, Leonardo, Benjamin, Scarlett, Mia, and Hunter. Loving brother of Edward Parker and his wife Andrea. He was predeceased by his siblings Dolores, Kay, Jack, and Eileen. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.
Funeral service will be held at 6:00pm on Friday, March 13, 2026 at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Avenue, Hawthorne. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00pm. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Paramus Veterans Memorial Home, 1 Veterans Way, Paramus, NJ 07652.

Mr. Parker was a kind and considerate man and a beloved member of a very special neighborhood of Lakeview drive. I have very fond memories of him. My sincere sympathies to Kathleen,Harry Christy and their family.
