Obituary of Frank Marshall White
Frank Marshall White, age 77, passed away on June 20, 2024 surrounded by famiy at home in Rowayton. He was born on June 5, 1947 in Portland Oregon and traveled throughout the world with his family as his father was a journalist. He spent his formative years from age 2-12 living in Paris where his father was the bureau chief of Time, Inc. He married Susan (Wilson) on October 12, 1968 and they celebrated 55 years of marriage last year. He spent his career as a free-lance photographer, traveling the globe on photo-journalist assignments and had great adventures making many iconic photos of famous and infamous celebrities and world leaders. Frank had a way of putting everyone at ease with his unique sense of humor. The Norwalk/Nagarote Sister City Project was dear to his heart and he served on its board for many years. Frank enjoyed life to the fullest – whether spending time captaining his Nordic Tug on Long Island Sound or playing the "blues" on one of his large collection of guitars. However, first and foremost in his life was his family – his wife Susan, daughters Rebecca White and Sarah Kamrath, son-in-law, Ray Kamrath and his truly beloved grandchildren – Lukas and Nadia Kamrath and Isabella White. A life-long Met fan, there's nothing he enjoyed more than going to a game with family. Family, friends, and others whose lives Frank touched are invited to St. Luke's Church, Darien, Friday, June 28 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Norwalk/Nagarote Sister City Project, PO Box 382, Norwalk CT 06852 or Children's Health Defense, 852 Franklin Ave Suite 511, Franklin Lakes NJ 07417.
