FRANKIE BYNUM
07/20/1945 - 10/08/2025
On October 8, 2025, Frankie Doris Bynum entered the beautiful gates of Heaven welcomed by cherished family and friends.
Frankie was born on July 20, 1945, in Canehill, Ark., to Edwin and Doris Dobbs. While living in Arkansas she met the love of her life of 63 years Wesley Bynum. On June 6, 1964, they became husband and wife. Together they created the best life with their two sons Wesley and Paul. They spent many summers at the lake camping and skiing. Frankie and Sonny always made time for each other whether it was traveling or a Friday night at the movies. You never had to wonder if they cared about each other.
The only thing Frankie loved more than being a wife and mom was being a nana.
Nana Frankie adored her grandchildren Adrienne, Jepothy, Jacob, Everett, and Frankie. She attended all their activities, read numerous books, sang picnic time for teddy bears and Little Moses. She always made a point to love each one with unconditional grace and love. She made the best chocolate gravy and ba"nana" bread. She was always there to listen, give advice or just give a hug and oh boy did she pray. I know most of us here today are surviving on her prayers.
Frankie retired from Tinker Air Force Base as an aircraft scheduler after 21 years.
She was a member of Cross Connection Church and loved spending time with her church family, especially the wonderful group who came to sing to her while she was home on hospice.
She leaves behind her loving husband Wesley Bynum Jr., son and daughter-in-law Paul and Rhonda Bynum, daughter-in-law Kimberly Swanson; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Adrienne and Jepothy Quirk; grandson Jacob Bynum; and great-grandchildren Everett and Frankie Quirk.
She was greeted in Heaven by her parents Edwin and Doris Dobbs, siblings Eddie, Lorhema, Reno, Clarence, Willis and Garnett Dobbs; sons, Charles Ray Bynum and Wesley Bynum III.
