Frank C. Martinez (Frankie) 5/2/1940 – 8/12/2024
Beloved husband of Kathy (Tootsie) Saiz.
Preceded in death by his daughters, Julie and Judy Martinez his father Henry Martinez and mother Aurelia Arellano and Brothers Tony and Ernie. Survived by his Brother Alfonso Martinez (Mercy Romo) Gladys Martinez (Bernie Montoya), Elsa Martinez and brothers-in-law Donald and Steven Saiz. Also survived by several nephews and nieces.
He was born in Holman New Mexico. We moved to Colorado in 1952 and lived here till his death. He worked in the construction industry all his live. His trade was a cement mason. He worked in various states and as a supervisor hired many of his relatives and friends. He was always busy doing something. He liked to work with his hands and knew how to build many things. Houses, garages, additions, furniture, picture frames and bird houses. He also enjoyed putting puzzles together
Unfortunately, his health was always an issue. As a child, while living in Holman he fell under a horse wagon and a wheel ran over his legs and as a result was in a body cast for several months. As a teenager he got in a sever car accident. His car was totaled and once more he was in a body cast for several months. During his life he spent a lot of his time in the hospital with his daughter Judy who was diagnosed with Spina Biffa. He had various surgeries throughout his body. He recently had a stroke but that did not slow him. He suffered from one thing or another all his life and was always in constant pain. He never gave up and continued to do what he liked all the way to his last day.
He was a beloved, generous man and will be missed by his family and friends.
The arrangement will be advertised later.
