Franklin Lee "Smokey" Cubbage, 75 of Broadway, VA passed away February 23, 2026 at his home.

He was born July 25, 1950 in Page County, VA to the late Wilton and Ollie Mae Lucas Cubbage.

Smokey had served in the U.S. Marine Corp in Vietnam. He worked at a number of jobs and trades throughout his life. He owned and sold old cars and trucks, and loved to paint and repair other cars and trucks in his shop. He will be missed by his family and friends.

In 1980 he married the former Carolyn Brunk, who survives.

Also surviving are one brother and his wife, Steve and Debbie Reedy; a special niece, Stephanie Reedy; and a number of other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

A visitation will be held from 6 – 7 PM Thursday at Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway. At Smokey's request, he will be cremated.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grandle Funeral Home, P.O. Box 114, Broadway, VA 22815.
