It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Franklin D. Finley, who left us peacefully on March 4, 2026, just one day after celebrating his 86th birthday. Born on March 3, 1940, to the late Raymond and Charlotte Finley, Franklin was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Franklin's bond with his family was deep, and he cherished every moment spent with them, particularly during his 51 wonderful years of marriage to his lovely wife, Patricia, who preceded him in passing. He leaves behind his beloved daughter, Christina Pyle, son-in-law, Kris Pyle, and his cherished grandson, Kris F. Pyle. Franklin was also preceded in death by his siblings Mary Frances Reiter, James Finley, Barney Finley, John Finley, Rosemary Everett and Thomas Finley.
Franklin proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he devoted 21 years to a distinguished career in law enforcement, retiring as a Deputy Sheriff for the Baltimore County Sheriff's Department. His commitment to protecting and serving his community was unwavering and a testament to his hardworking and dedicated character. He was also an avid Orioles fan in his spare time.
