Franklin D. Head, age 86, of Cumming, GA, passed away on May 13, 2025. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He and Judy travelled the world together while he served his country. Frank served his country faithfully for 27 years in the U.S. Army. He served 4 combat tours in Vietnam. He obtained the rank of Command Sergeant Major. Throughout his service, he earned many medals including: Legion of Merit with one Oak Leaf Cluster, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with seven Service Stars. He is preceded in death by his parents, 16 siblings, and 8 brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law.

He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Judy Head; children, Mickel (Maureen) Head, Karen Head (Collin Potts); grandchildren, Steef, Helen, Jason; 4 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Bradford Croy; sisters-in-law, Janie Stewart, Susan Wilson; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 18th, 2025, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Orr presiding. The interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Gainesville, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, May 17th, 2025, from the hours of 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
