STANFIELD – On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, Mr. Franklin Burnette Harrington, 74, passed away peacefully at his home.
Services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 3, 2025 by the graveside in Anson Memorial Park. In the event of rain, the service will be moved to the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home.
Frank was born January 3, 1951 in Anson County, NC and was a son of the late Bruce Gordon Harrington and the late Mary Alice Maness Harrington. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served stateside during the Vietnam War era.
He worked for many years in construction, having worked with D.A. Davis Construction and Cummings Construction both in Monroe.
Frank was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed camping by the river and playing guitar.
Those who are left to cherish his memory are his wife of 39 years, Margaret Long Harrington; his step-sons, Jimmy Dean Williams (Beth) of Monroe and Ricky Wayne Williams (Debbie) of Dover, TN; his grandchildren, Courtney Greene and Kaitlin Greene both of Chester, SC, Caroline Greene of Myrtle Beach, SC, Ricky Williams of Easton, PA and David Williams of Fort Mill, SC; 4 great-grandchildren; his sister and brother, Carol Murdock of Wadesboro and Gary Harrington (Sheila) of Morven and his aunt, Ruby Sheppard of Lilesville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Gail Greene, his brother, Bruce Harrington, Jr. and by his infant sister, Lynda Gale Harrington.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Sunkissed Acres NC, 1030 Reigate Rd., Charlotte, NC 28262.
