FAYETTEVILLE, NC - On Sunday, March 8, 2026, Mrs. Margaret “Mog” Griffin Beverly, 97, passed away quietly at the home of her niece in Schertz, TX with family present.

Margaret was born in Wadesboro, NC on December 3, 1928, and was a daughter of the late Frank Everette Griffin and the late Sadie Austin Griffin. She and her older sister, Marion “Tootie” Griffin Miles grew up in Wadesboro.

She was a graduate of Wadesboro High School and attended Women’s College in Greensboro, now the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She worked with the Cumberland County School System as an administrative assistant to the superintendent of schools and also worked with the North Carolina Employment Security Commission, having worked in Rockingham and carrying the same position to Durham.

Margaret enjoyed playing golf, visiting Myrtle Beach, kitty cats, socializing with her many beloved friends and attending Wadesboro High School reunion luncheons in Wadesboro throughout the years.

She grew up being a part of First Baptist Church in Wadesboro and she was a member of Snyder Memorial Baptist Church in Fayetteville, where she lived for many years.

She was known by her family and friends as witty, outgoing and compassionate.

Margaret is survived by her niece, Susan Price and her 4 children, great-nieces, Beth Price, Kristin Sullivan, and Carri Amescua and great-nephew, Greg Price and by numerous generations of nieces and nephews.

Mog was beloved by her family and friends and will be dearly missed while she lives on in our hearts forever.

There will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 25, 2026, in Eastview Cemetery in Wadesboro where she will be laid to rest beside her parents. The family will greet friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eastview Cemetery Trust, P.O. Box 274, Wadesboro, NC 28170.
