Franklin Gordon Ritchie, 88, of Batavia, Ohio, died peacefully Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Mercy Clermont Hospital in Batavia. He was born June 12, 1936, in Cincinnati, Ohio. The son of the late William Ritchie and Sylvia Rosanna Ritchie. He was retired from Cincinnati Bell where he was a Telephone Technician. He was a 33rd degree Mason at the Batavia Masonic Lodge 104. Also, a member of the Scottish Rite, Cincinnati Shriners, a Jester order # 7 and he was a Batavia Township Trustee for many years. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Kay Seip Ritchie; his daughter, Michelle Ritchie Sutter (David); son, Brian Ritchie (Leanna); daughter, Gail Allison (Wayne). Grandchildren, Nathan Wilson, Sara Hundemer (Ed), Arisa Harris (Anthony), Amanda Kralovich (Tommy) and Alanna Ritchie. Great-grandchildren, Nick and Emma Wilson, Hudson and Rylie Hundemer, Langston, Creed and Kohen Cheek, and Aiden Harris. His granddaughter Breanna Ritchie preceded him in death. Frank was honored in having an extended family with several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren through marriage and a host of relatives and friends who loved him dearly.
Funeral services will be held at 12PM Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at the American Legion Post 288, 208 E. Main Street, Williamsburg, Ohio 45176. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10AM-12 PM.
Burial will follow at Williamsburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to help offset funeral expenses may be made to Floral Hills Funeral Home.
