Franklin Tillman Obituary

Franklin "Frank" Tillman, Sr, 85, of Albany, died, Sunday January 7, 2024 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

His memorial service will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Gillionville Baptist Church. Rev. Chad Ellis and Rev. Roy Cook will officiate.

Born in Moultrie to Charles and Louise Tillman, Frank had lived in Albany most of his life. He was a retired auditor and a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was a member of Gillionville Baptist Church, the Roy Cook Sunday School Class. Frank was an avid outdoors man loving to hunt and fish.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Charles Tillman, John Tillman, Glenn Tillman, father and mother-in-law, Ben and Mae Cravey, brothers in law, James E. Cravey, Willie Cravey, Donald Murphy and Tidwell Carter.

Survivors include his wife Jean Cravey Tillman, son, Franklin Tillman, Jr., grandson, Franklin Cade Tillman, sister, Judy Murphy, sister in law Patsy Carter and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, Thursday at Gillionville Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers please make memorials to Gillionville Baptist Church, 4614 Gillionville Rd, Albany, GA 31721.
