Franklin “Frank” D. Welch , 83, of Bringhurst, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2025 at his home. Frank was born December 21, 1941 in Lafayette, Indiana to Sherman and Alma (Pavey) Welch. He married Debra Johnson on September 29, 1984.
Frank graduated from Camden High School in 1960. Frank then went on to receive certification from mechanic school. He worked at Mann’s Chevrolet and in security at Indiana Packers.
He enjoyed tinkering on motorcycles, cars, and reading about history. Frank could often be found taking his loyal pets on many adventures and walks around the neighborhood. He also loved to sit down and have good conversations with friends and family.
Frank is survived by his wife of 41 years, Debra Welch; Children, Franklin (Tasha) Welch, Edward Welch, Douglas (Tracy) Welch, Jeffery Scotten, Ellann (Osvaldo) Miranda, Robert Welch, and Rachael (Julian) Welch; 16 Grandchildren; 8 Great-Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025, from 4pm – 6pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home ~ Reinke Chapel. Funeral service will be held Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 10am at the funeral home, with Pastor Brad Burton officiating. Burial will follow at Rockfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Messages of condolence may be left at www.dayandgenda.com.
