Leekoff, Fraydelle T.
PLANTATION. Fla. - Fraydelle T. Leekoff, 95, known as "Fray" to most, passed peacefully on October 3, 2025, in her apartment, at Five Star Premier Residences Assisted Living. Her children and their spouses were with her during her final days. She is survived by her daughter, Wynne (Robert); and son, Alan (Demie). She will be buried in Albany, next to hear dear husband, David; and his parents, Paul and Sophie Leekoff.
Born on May 1, 1930, in Williamsport, Pa., to Pauline Lippman Tucker and William 'Bill' Tucker, Fray grew up in Syracuse, but particularly treasured and cherished her time in Albany with her Lippman relatives after her dad passed. She met the love of her life, David Leekoff of Astoria Queens, in White Lake, N.Y., where both families vacationed in Summers. They were married in 1953, in Albany, and lived for several years in Forest Hills, Long Island, N.Y.
Following the birth of their daughter, Fray and David moved to Albany and established Stork Diaper Service, proudly serving the greater Albany area for decades. After the birth of their son, they moved from Allen Street to Orlando Avenue. Fray became an enthusiastic golfer and was active at Shaker Ridge Country Club for many years. They were also longtime members of Temple Israel in Albany until moving permanently to Fla., in 1992.
In Fla., Fray and David enjoyed being members of Bonaventure Golf Club, and Fray continued to play as long as she could. Fray loved the traveling that David and she did together throughout the U.S. and overseas. Following David's death in 2012, Fray continued to travel well into her 80s.
Fray loved family and was the keeper of stories, loads of photos and contact with family members from multiple branches of her family tree. One of her greatest joys was that her kids and their spouses are great friends – and that she had great adventures with them. In 2018, Fray moved to the Five Star Premier Residences Community, where she became known and loved for her bubbly personality and participation in activities and committees. She will be remembered for much and missed by many.
Funeral services for Fray will be held graveside, at Temple Israel Cemetery, 1620 Western Ave., in Guilderland, on Thursday, October 9, at 11:00 a.m. To leave a message of condolence for the family online, please visit
