Dearest Becky, Jerry and I were so sad to hear of Fred's passing. I remember Fred as a kind, generous and respectful man who truly enjoyed life. The memories of his jokes and the joy he had in telling them is ever heart-warming. My life is better for knowing him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Deepest sympathies.

Darling Fred...
You were one of the most kind and generous customers to cross the threshold at Old House Family Restaurant. You made our day when you and your crew would come in. Always funny and loved serving you that Coney dog with extra onions and a black cup of coffee.
One of the most kind gestures you made will always stay in my heart. Donating soccer balls and equipment for one of my missionary trips to Mexico. The faces on the children when we gave them away. Such a kindness in the name of the Lord.
I shall see you in Heaven.

Becky, Anna and I were deeply hurt to read of Fred's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. He was a great guy and I am sure will be missed.
I don't know if you have heard this story but Anna had Fred for a gym teacher in elementary school. In one of the gym classes Anna and another girl broke their arms doing some activity. Anna said Fred (or Mr. Carbenero as she calls him) was very upset with the situation. Everything turned out fine and they had a laugh about it later.
We hope to see you on Friday.
