Fred W. "Reds" Credille Sr., age 91, of Boothwyn, PA, passed away on January 22, 2025, at Crozer Hospital. Born, raised, and educated in Dennis, MS, Reds was the son of William Arthur and Annie Fuller Credille. He previously lived in Media, PA, and Baltimore, MD, before settling in Boothwyn.
Reds worked as an electrician at Boeing for 44 years, retiring in 1998. A man of deep faith, he was a devoted member of Concord Baptist Church. Reds enjoyed fishing, hunting, and shooting pool. A passionate sports fan, he loved cheering for the Phillies and was a loyal follower of SEC football, especially the Alabama Crimson Tide. Above all, Reds treasured the time he spent with his family.
Reds proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
In addition to his parents, Reds was preceded in death by his daughter, Rose A. Vanaman (2010); his siblings, Clifton Credille, Dayton Credille, William Credille Jr., and Bessie-Mae Ricketts; and his grandchildren, Brian Carter and Zachary Barrow.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Martha Jane Lynch Credille; his children, Fred Wesley Credille Jr. and Anita Jane Credille; 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA, followed by funeral services at 11:00 AM at the same location. Interment will be private.
