Peter Sives Obituary
Peter Gillies Sives,"Pete," passed away on March 18, 2026, at the age of 72, at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Born in Dundee, Scotland, to Ian and Williamina Paton Sives, Pete was raised by his devoted mum, Williamina ("Mina").
Pete spent the last 10 years in Glen Mills, PA, after many years in Drexel Hill, PA. He worked a wide variety of jobs over the years, but they all had one thing in common: helping people. That was who Pete was - the kind of person who would show up first, lend a hand, and probably crack a joke while doing it. He retired from Wegmans, where he spent many years in the bakery department.
Pete enjoyed watching movies, great music, a good mystery novel, and cheering on his favorite soccer teams, but above all, he treasured time spent with his family. His nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews were the light of his life, and he took great pride in being called "Unc".
In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Sives. He is survived by his sister, Kirsty (Mike) Sammaciccia; his nieces and nephews, Michael (Erica), Christine (Ryan), Andrew (Colleen), Ian (Isa), and Joanne (David); and 15 great-nieces and nephews who will forever remember him for his kindness.
