Nancy Sives Obituary
A graduate of West Scranton High School, Nancy began her career at RCA, where she worked for 14 years as an instructor and then in the furniture industry in New Jersey. Her dedication and hard work eventually led her to become the proud owner and operator of Nancy's House of Gifts at the Grayrock Village Mall in Clinton Township, NJ, which she ran for many years.
Nancy was a proud Italian, known for being a wonderful cook who loved preparing meals for her family. She also enjoyed traveling, making memories on her journeys that she treasured throughout her life.
She was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miller Heights and lived her life guided by faith and devotion. Above all, her greatest joy was her family. She was a loving mother to her daughters: Rose Strohmaier and her husband Karl, Nancy Ann Gorringe and her husband Stephen, and Christina Harper-Slack and her husband Frederick. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will miss her deeply. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Mifka.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Peter Martinez and Ronald Sives; her daughter, Julia Martinez; and her siblings, Carmen, Anthony, Joseph, John, Ralph, Philip, and Richard Sparacino.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1817 1st Street, Bethlehem, PA 18020, with a viewing in the church from 9:30 A.M. until the time of Mass. Burial will be private. Nancy's arrangements have been entrusted to the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Jed Foundation, P.O. Box 412945 Boston, MA 02241.

I new Nancy through our Sacred Heart Church where we were both parishioners. She was also a member of our Prime Time Club. I always enjoyed talking with her as she was always friendly and willing to help where ever needed. I'm so sorry to learn of her passing. May she rest in peace.
